Siapa sih Iman Usman? Memangnya dia sudah ngapain sampai semua anak muda di sekitarku (setidaknya) mengenal siapa dia? Ketika itu, aku masih kuliah, entah sudah tahun keberapa. Tapi nama Iman Usman ramai menjadi perbincangan. Padahal, dia juga bukan mahasiswa di universitas tempat aku kuliah.

Sukses dengan buku The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck, 3 tahun kemudian Mark Manson barulah melanjutkan tulisannya melalui Everything is F*cked. Buku yang sepertinya sudah ditunggu-tunggu oleh sebagian besar pembaca setianya ini lebih fokus membahas tentang hope atau harapan.

Feminist Fight Club

Fenomena Women's March memang sempat ramai. Apalagi ketika Donald Trump resmi dikukuhkan menjadi Presiden Amerika Serikat. Seruan terhadap perlindungan wanita pun juga semakin disuarakan. Tanggal 4 Maret 2017 lalu, Indonesia juga tidak ketinggalan. Sebagian besar warganya masih merasa bahwa persamaan gender di negara ini belumlah optimal. Ada hal-hal yang masih belum tuntas dibahas dan dilindungi secara hukum. Akibat dari isu-isu tersebut, aku semakin tertarik dengan buku-buku ringan yang membahas kesetaraan gender. Termasuk, buku dari Jessica Bennett yang begitu eye catchy dengan judulnya.
